Predict when the options landscape will restructure
A reshuffle is a dramatic shift in the options positioning landscape — when the GEX profile fundamentally restructures. Key levels move, walls dissolve, and new ones form. These events invalidate previous analysis and create new trading opportunities. The report predicts when reshuffles are likely to occur.
The predictor monitors how fast the GEX profile is changing between snapshots. When the rate of change accelerates, it signals instability in the options landscape. High rate of change is the primary predictor of an imminent reshuffle — the profile is in flux and likely to restructure.
| RoC Percentile | Reshuffle Probability | Recommended Action |
|---|---|---|
| Below 25th | 10-15% | Stable — trade normal setups |
| 25th-50th | 20-30% | Monitor — be aware of potential shift |
| 50th-75th | 40-55% | Caution — tighten stops, reduce size |
| Above 75th | 65-80% | High alert — expect reshuffle, widen stops |
Pre-reshuffle positioning: When the predictor shows high reshuffle probability (RoC above 75th percentile), widen your stops and reduce position size. GEX levels you're trading against may dissolve. Avoid fading levels that could disappear.
Post-flip momentum: After a GEX sign flip event, trade in the direction the flip implies. A flip from positive to negative gamma means the market shifts from mean-reverting to trending — follow the momentum. These transitions often produce the largest moves.
