Session Bias — Strategy Guide

Session Direction Tendencies

Each trading session has its own directional personality. This report shows the bullish/bearish/neutral percentage for each session (RTH, Asia, London, Overnight) by weekday. Use it to align your trades with the statistical tendency of the current session.

What the Report Shows

Bullish % — Percentage of sessions where close > open for that session.
Bearish % — Percentage of sessions where close < open for that session.
Average Move — Mean directional move size during bullish vs bearish sessions.

Trading Strategy

If Tuesday RTH sessions are bullish 62% of the time for your instrument, use that as a tiebreaker when you have a neutral setup — lean long. This isn't a standalone trading strategy, but a probability filter that adds edge when combined with technical analysis.

Using the Session Bias Report
Pro Tip
Session bias changes with market regime. In a strong uptrend, almost every session will show bullish bias. Use shorter lookback periods (30-60 days) to capture the current regime rather than averaging across all conditions.
