POC Migration — Strategy Guide

Tracking Value Migration

POC Migration tracks how the Point of Control (the highest-volume price level) moves from session to session. Consistent upward POC migration indicates bullish value acceptance; downward migration indicates bearish acceptance. This is one of the most reliable multi-day trend indicators.

Key Concepts

Upward Migration — Each session's POC is higher than the prior session's. Indicates buyers are accepting higher prices. Bullish.
Downward Migration — Each session's POC is lower than the prior. Indicates sellers are accepting lower prices. Bearish.
Stalled Migration — POC is at similar levels for multiple sessions. Indicates balance and potential breakout setup.

Trading Strategy

Trade in the direction of POC migration for swing positions. When POC is migrating upward, buy pullbacks to the prior session's POC. When POC migration stalls after a trend, prepare for either reversal or breakout — tighten stops and reduce position size until direction is confirmed.

Pro Tip
POC migration is a lagging but highly reliable indicator. It confirms trends that are already in progress. Use it as a filter — don't fight the direction of POC migration unless you have very strong reasons (key S/R levels, extreme readings elsewhere).

Strategy Guide
POC Migration
When the POC keeps moving higher, buyers are accepting higher prices. That is a bullish trend.
