Volume distribution analysis with POC, value area, and profile shape
Volume Profile shows volume traded at each price level rather than over time. This reveals where institutional participation is concentrated and identifies the most important support and resistance levels — ones based on actual trading activity, not lines on a chart.
Trade from value area edges toward the POC for mean reversion. When price opens inside the value area, expect rotation between VAH and VAL (the "80% Rule" — 80% of the time, price that enters the VA will travel to the other side). When price opens outside the VA, expect either a strong trend day or a return to value.
