Best hours for trading by range, volatility, and personal win rate
Not all hours are worth trading. This report analyzes range, volatility, directional clarity, and (if you have journal data) your personal win rate by hour to identify the windows where you should focus your trading activity.
| Time (ET) | Range | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 9:30-10:30 | Highest | Breakout traders, high volatility |
| 10:30-11:30 | Above avg | Mean reversion, trend development |
| 11:30-1:00 | Lowest | Lunch chop — often best to avoid |
| 1:00-2:30 | Average | Afternoon continuation setups |
| 2:30-4:00 | High | Power hour, MOC-driven moves |
Use this report to define your trading window. If your journal shows your best win rate is 10:00-11:30 AM, focus your energy there and avoid the lunch hour. Quality over quantity — trading fewer hours with higher accuracy beats trading all day with mixed results.
